April 25, 2024: After two years of work and anticipation Top Thrill 2 opened at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, U.S.A. The ride represents the first use of Zamperla’s Lightning roller coaster trains and a huge step forward in roller coaster technology.

Zamperla's Roller Coaster Business Unit engineered and designed a new ride experience. It combines the ride's original and iconic top hat with a new 128 meter (420 ft) spike; adding its signature to The Roller Coaster Capital of the World®.

A Lightning LSM Coaster by Zamperla will be installed in Playland at PNE, Vancouver. The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), owners of Playland Amusement Park, announced the purchase of Canada’s fastest launch coaster, supplied by Zamperla.

Zamperla is preparing for the restart of the industry by investing 3000 hours in training since January. With massive updating of technical skills in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics for both assembly operators and designers, bringing them to a higher level of technical awareness. “The entire production staff has welcomed the several courses held during this period with enthusiasm and interest,” commented Enrico Marcolin, Production Manager.

All I had to do was to set foot in Luna Park in Coney Island a few days ago to experience the strength of a cohesive group. Engineers and technicians from the park are working together with the ones who arrived from Italy to coordinate this complex construction site, which includes an extension to create space for the installation of the new Junior Coaster 400, which crosses the existing, but updated Super Flume ride!

The Family Thrill Launch is Zamperla’s newest coaster concept and was unveiled at IAAPA 2021. This was the third new concept we debuted last year. It was unveiled as part of Z Fun Week, where the company has showcased a new ride concept every month since March, 2021.
