Wuxi Sunac Land came to Zamperla asking for a unique thrilling coaster. The park wanted a broad appeal minimum height restriction at 105 cm (42 in), but it also wanted several superlatives. We ended up designing a custom roller coaster experience with many unique features:
Vertical Freefall Drop
Forward and Backwards Launches
Media Integration
The real challenge was designing a coaster layout that fit within a building and worked with the park’s storylines. We designed a switch track that allowed for reversing the vehicle in a compact space. In addition, there was significant collaboration between our team, the park and their media designers so they could create content that perfectly synced with the ride action. The resulting guest experience featured 3D glasses that brought the immersive scenes and sounds of a foundry to life.
