Ferrari World wanted to extend their guests’ dwell time and increase visitor satisfaction among families. We partnered with them on “Family Zone”, which featured four attractions:
Junior Coaster (90 cm/36 in minimum rider height)
Speedway (90 cm/36 in minimum rider height)
WindstarZ (90 cm/36 in minimum rider height)
Sky Tower (105 cm/42 in minimum rider height)
The four attractions were inspired by Ferrari’s fan-favorite rides with a goal of bringing an immersive experience to even more of their guests. The coaster was designed around the safety envelopes of the other three Zamperla attractions. The goal was to maximize family fun and offer guests to the Emirates a taste of Ferrari thrills.
In addition to working with the park owner we got a lot of feedback from Ferrari. Their design team provided input on our design for the shape of the Ferrari racing vehicle found on the Junior Coaster. In addition, they even helped us acquire the “Ferrari red” paint for the attractions so they perfectly matched real Ferrari high performance cars.
