Junior Coaster 277 at Cultus Lake

Cultus Lake Adventure Park needed a roller coaster that appealed to everyone who walked through the front gate. By theme park standards this beautiful Canadian park is small, it packs a day’s worth of attractions in a reduced footprint. This means that they need maximum rider appeal for every attraction they install.

We worked with them to create a custom Junior Coaster that wound above and through the park. In addition, our engineers elevated the station to maximize the ride experience and use as little ground space as possible.

The resulting layout makes this coaster the most popular attraction in the park. Families love it because kids enjoy having this as their “first big roller coaster”. However, teenagers and young adults also hop on because the layout packs a fun punch.

“As we talked and walked around the site, we could actually see the junior coaster being constructed. Soon after the design and engineering team at Zamperla came through with a solid and innovative design. [After ten months] the Runaway Mine Train was on track and providing thrills to our guests and we haven’t looked back. It has propelled our business from a simple and small ride park to a legitimate competitive and relevant amusement park. Since installation our attendance and ticket prices has nearly doubled and [it] is a must ride attraction in our park.”
